About the role
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement innovative menu items
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and efficient service
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment in the kitchen
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Provide mentorship and training to junior kitchen staff
- Contribute to the overall success and positive reputation of the restaurant
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a CDP in a hatted restaurant or high quality restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistently high-quality dishes
- Somebody who is creative and willing to share their ideas
- Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create delicious, innovative meals
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
