Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Lawyer to join our team in Queensland. This role involves driving strategic direction of common law claims, providing advice on complex statutory claims, and managing litigation cases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain strong professional knowledge of workers' compensation compliance and common law/lump sum settlement trends in Queensland.
* Drive and manage litigation cases, reporting progress and outcomes to internal stakeholders through legal governance reporting and litigated claims reviews.
* Effectively manage relationships within the legal panel to achieve targeted outcomes.
Requirements:
* Degree in Law is essential as is a current unrestricted legal practising certificate.
* 5 years PAE in Queensland workers' compensation law.
* Extensive experience in managing common law claims.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong defendant insurance background and will also have experience in managing and providing advice on complex statutory claims.
