We are on the lookout for a passionate, proactive, and community-minded professional to join our team as a Community Safety & Emergency Management Officer. In this exciting and meaningful role, you'll lead the way in strengthening public safety and building preparedness through innovative programs and powerful community partnerships.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assist during emergencies, providing vital coordination, communication, and support to keep the community safe.
* Collect and analyse data on community risks to inform proactive safety initiatives and emergency preparedness.
* Collaborate with emergency services, community groups, and internal teams to develop and implement effective safety and emergency management initiatives.
* Proactively share engaging safety and emergency information with stakeholders and community members, empowering them to be prepared.
* Actively source grant funding opportunities to support the delivery of innovative community safety and emergency management programs.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
* Qualifications and/or experience in Community Safety, Emergency Management, or related fields.
* A strong understanding of current safety and resilience issues affecting the local community
* A proven ability to identify, evaluate, and implement creative solutions to enhance community wellbeing.
* Experience in program development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build lasting relationships with the community and partner agencies.
