The Senior Sales Director is responsible for leading and managing sales operations, overseeing a team of professionals while actively participating in sales activities. This role focuses on direct sales and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the sales function, setting strategies to drive revenue growth.
* Develop and implement sales plans, tactics, and processes to achieve sales targets.
* Actively participate in sales activities, focusing on closing deals and managing key accounts.
* Own the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing.
* Analyze sales metrics and performance data to refine sales strategies.
Team Management and Coaching:
* Manage and coach a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support.
* Conduct regular sales meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions to enhance team performance.
* Monitor individual and team KPIs, providing feedback and development opportunities.
Process Improvement:
* Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes, tools, and tactics.
* Ensure CRM and other sales tools are effectively utilized to track and manage sales activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years managing a team and demonstrating consistent performance.
* Proven experience in setting up and managing both inbound and outbound sales functions.
* Must have experience in SaaS sales and owning the entire sales process.
* Experience conducting software demonstrations and working with internal teams to scope customer requirements.
* Experience in logistics, warehouse management, or related industries is a bonus.
