Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned technical expert to join our team as a Cloud Database Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of PostgreSQL and cloud platform technologies, with experience in analyzing and resolving complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze customer queries, communicate effectively, and provide solutions to ensure seamless product usage.
* Liaise with development teams on complex issues and feature requests, ensuring timely resolutions.
* Collaborate with junior engineers to triage issues, create test cases, and document solutions for internal use.
Requirements:
* Significant experience (3-5 years) with PostgreSQL or equivalent database technologies as a senior database administrator or support engineer.
* Experience with cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, or Google GCP, with a focus on computer, networking, storage, application, and database services.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or cloud-specific monitoring technologies.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge.
* Working knowledge of PostgreSQL third-party tools, such as pgpool, slony, pgbouncer, etc.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
* Tech Support experience, with recent working experience in Python, Golang, and/or C/C++.
* Docker & Kubernetes experience, along with SRE expertise, including SLO/SLI, common architectural patterns, IaaS, and CI/CD orchestration.
* Terraform experience is a plus.
