About the Graduate Midwifery Program

The program at Eastern Health is a progressive, responsive, and innovative initiative that uses evidence-based practices to develop study days with regular feedback from graduates.
Our goal is to support and facilitate the development of a well-prepared, high-quality midwifery workforce committed to improving health outcomes.
We have 2 pathways for Midwifery graduates:
* Blended Nursing / Midwifery Stream: 18 months total (12 months midwifery and 6 months nursing)
* Pure Midwifery Stream: 12 months in midwifery

Vaccination against infectious disease is mandatory. An offer of employment is conditional on providing evidence of current vaccination against COVID-19 with booster and influenza prior to commencing employment.
