This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent or Fixed Term appointments at various hours per fortnight with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency. This is an "open-ended" recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:
The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/10/2026.
Position Profile
This position provides community nursing and delivery of school health in accordance with school level agreements. Promotes and maintains collaborative relationships with Department of Education and a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
Eligibility for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Evidence of recent postgraduate nursing experience with demonstrated advanced nursing knowledge and skills.
Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate across a diverse spectrum of the population.
Understanding of the principles of primary health care and the application to community health service delivery.
Current C-class driver's licence and ability to travel within the region as required, including overnight stays. ACLS (or equivalent).

About the Area
The Pilbara is WA's second most northern region, defined by the Indian Ocean to the west and the Northern Territory border to the east. The Kimberley Region lies to its north across the Great Sandy Desert and the Pilbara's southern reaches border the Midwest and Goldfields regions. The region covers a total area of 507,896 sq km (including offshore islands). Most of the inhabitants are in the western third, whereas the eastern third is largely desert with few inhabitants. Today the Pilbara economy is crucial to the State, providing 2 of the State's largest export revenue earners – iron ore and liquefied natural gas.
