Our vision at Nollamara Primary School (PS) is to create a dynamic and safe learning community inspired by cultural diversity, partnerships and educational innovation striving for academic and civic excellence for all our students. Nollamara PS has an enrollment approaching 400 students and approximately 75% are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and has an Intensive English Centre. The office is a busy, dynamic and fast‐paced environment where an individual's ability to work as part of a team is essential to the role of School Officer.
Responsibilities
As the first point of contact for the school, you will greet visitors, answer the telephone, and respond to routine enquiries and requests for information. Your duties may include processing both mainstream and Intensive English Centre (IEC) enrollments, managing student attendance, maintaining IEC bus timetables, booking interpreters, tracking student numbers, and assisting the Manager Corporate Services with daily financial tasks. You will handle electronic funds transfer (EFT) payment batches, invoicing, receipting and cash management, and support financial reporting. Knowledge of school base systems such as Compass, Integris, RM Finance, HRMIS and SIS, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is highly desirable.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Experience in financial processes and procedures, including handling debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and preparing financial returns.
* Proficiency in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience applying customer service principles and practices.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
