Key Responsibilities

The webMethods Designer/Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise integration solutions using the Software AG webMethods integration platform. This role typically exists in organizations with large‐scale integration needs—utilities, banking, telecom, insurance, and multi‐system landscapes such as SAP, Salesforce, mainframes, and cloud applications.

Analysis & Solution Design

* Perform feasibility studies and analyse business requirements to define technical needs and integration patterns.
* Develop detailed technical designs and scalable integration solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
* Collaborate with enterprise architects and business analysts to plan migrations, prioritise enhancements, and shape solution roadmaps.
* Architect and develop integration solutions using webMethods, including Adapters, Brokers, EDI modules, and Integration Server components.
* Design, build, and manage APIs using webMethods key components and integration frameworks.
* Configure and maintain external trading partners and implement full B2B integration solutions.

Integration Design & Development

* Develop integrations using Integration Server (IS), Designer (Eclipse‐based IDE), webMethods Flow Services, Java Services, Messaging / Broker / UM, Adapters (SAP Adapter, JDBC Adapter, MQ Adapter, etc.).
* Build services using REST/SOAP Web Services, Messaging (JMS, UM Topics/Queues), Flat files, EDI, XML, JSON.
* Develop transformations using XSLT, XQuery, Document Types, Schemas.

Deployment, DevOps & SDLC

* Manage deployment, version control, and migration activities using Git, MYST, and Jenkins.
* Work within Agile methodologies throughout the SDLC, participating in sprint ceremonies, design reviews, and estimation sessions.
* Ensure high‐quality deliverables through rigorous testing, debugging, and validation of integrations.
* Create, update, and maintain end‐user documentation and operational procedures for integration solutions.
* Take ownership of assigned tasks to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to SLAs.
* Delegate tasks effectively and assist in prioritising workload within the team.Mentor, guide, and train junior analysts and interns in integration development and data management techniques.

Required Qualifications

* 7-10 years of hands‐on integration experience in webMethods
* Knowledge of webMethods API Gateway and Management
* Candidates must have strong hands‐on experience with webMethods Integration Server (IS), webMethods Designer (Flow Services, Java Services, Mappings), Universal Messaging (UM) or Broker, webMethods Adapters, Building REST/SOAP web services,
* Strong Working knowledge with Document Types/ Schemas (XSD), XML/JSON transformations, XSLT / XQuery
* Ability to lead design discussions and mentor junior developers
* Understanding of ITIL processes and regulated change management
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Ability to work in high‐availability, mission‐critical environments

* Strong collaboration and communication skills
* Ability to balance developer enablement with security and compliance
* Detail-oriented with a strong operational mindset
