About the Role:
As a Home Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality home services to residents in their homes onsite at Evergreen Permanent part time and casual hours available. We are seeking dedicated people for part-time and casual days shifts, with availability to cover sleep over shifts in our village
This will involve:
Personal Care Support:
- Provide compassionate assistance with personal care tasks, including showering, toileting, dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily living.
- Respectfully uphold residents' dignity and privacy while delivering care services.
-Medication Prompting/Administration and maintain accurate records of medication administration and report any concerns or observations to the appropriate personnel.
-Safely assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning as required.
-Support residents with household tasks, including laundry, full cleaning, meal preparation, and maintaining a comfortable living environment.
-Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld in residents' living spaces
-Accompany residents to external appointments, such as medical check-ups, therapy sessions, or social outings.
-Foster meaningful connections within the community by participating in social and recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and preferences.
Requirements:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification Minimum 6 months' experience working in home care or a related field
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and promoting dignity
- Reliability, punctuality, and a flexible attitude
