The City of Mandurah Strategy team is seeking an experienced andmotivated individual to fill the role of Senior Project Officer.This position will be responsible for the planning and managementof a range of strategic projects aimed to increase the economicgrowth, employment, investment, government infrastructure andservices in Mandurah.

You will:
- Increase awareness of Mandurah as an attractive investmentlocation.
- Facilitate the delivery of the City's economicdevelopment strategies in Mandurah through designated projects,programs, research and analysis, creative ideas and governmentand business liaison to promote inward investment in highpriority sectors.
- Lead and support projects and programs to improve skilldevelopment, higher education, and employment outcomes inMandurah.
- Target key sectors identified through the City'sTransform Mandurah research and other endorsed plans.
- Further develop strategies, business cases, and strategicplans to develop those sectors.
- Attract government commitment, support, and funding.
- Liaise with public and private sector partners to ensurecoordination of activities.
- Implement initiatives developed under the CommunityStrategic Plan and Departmental business plans.
- Provide a high level of service, advice, and support topotential investors as part of an integrated teamapproach.
What you will bring to the team
To be successful you will have:
- Relevant degree/qualification.
- Current unrestricted C class national driver'slicence.
- Demonstrated professional experience of at least 3 years ineconomic or business development, private investment attractionand/or delivery and implementation of strategicinitiatives.
- Experience in working with the business sector andunderstanding of factors affecting business growth(desirable).
- Experience in working with the human capital sector andunderstanding of key issues and opportunities in skilldevelopment, higher education, and employment pathways(desirable).
- Sound understanding of the business development andinvestment process, financial reporting and key factors drivingregional economic growth.
- Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and buildrelationships internally and externally to further thereputation and success of Mandurah.
- Research, analytical thinking and report-writingskills.
- Ability to discuss, articulate and challenge business plansand options.
- Knowledge of Australian and State Government grant fundingprogram.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Self-motivating, outcomes focussed.

This full-time position attracts a competitive Level 7 salaryrate of $108,804 to $115,610 per annum dependent on qualificationsand experience and a wide range of benefits to reward yourcontribution.
