Job Title: Claims Officer - Motor Vehicle Insurance Specialist
Job Description:
* We are seeking an experienced Claims Officer to join our team to manage motor vehicle insurance claims. The successful candidate will provide a high level of customer service, investigate and evaluate assigned cases, and determine the appropriate course of action.
* The Claims Officer will be responsible for receiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claims, interpreting policy coverage, and authorizing payments within their scope of authority.
* This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage Lodgements and Repairs: Utilize multiple claims systems and processes to effectively manage lodgements and repairs for motor vehicle claims.
2. Maintain Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with insured customers, agents, and service providers.
3. Interpret Policy Coverage: Accurately interpret policy coverage and determine if it applies to submitted claims.
4. Receive and Process Claims: Receive, record, and process incoming insurance claims in a timely manner.
5. Autorize Payments: Authorize payments within the scope of authority, ensuring timely issuance of disbursements.
6. Identify Suspicious Claims: Identify suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arrange investigations.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in a similar role within motor claims is advantageous.
* Strong customer service skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
* Strong negotiation, organizational, and time management skills.
* A quick learner who is comfortable with technology.
