Senior People & Culture Business Partner / HR Manager
Entrepreneurial Engineering Consultancy | Growth-Focused Role | Reports to MD. An entrepreneurial and fast-growing engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior People & Culture Business Partner or entry-level HR Manager to support the next phase of its growth journey.
This role replaces an existing position but is deliberately scoped at a slightly less senior level, making it ideal for a capable HR generalist who is ready to step into a broad, influential role without the weight of a heavily layered corporate structure.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a true hands‐on generalist position with responsibility across operations, systems, people strategy and culture.
The Role: You will own and deliver end‐to‐end People & Culture support across the full employee lifecycle, partnering closely with leadership to enable sustainable business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
* HR operations including HRIS, payroll coordination and employee lifecycle management
* Recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention strategies, including EVP development
* Supporting and implementing business growth and workforce strategies
* Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters
* Managing disciplinary and grievance processes
* Leadership development and emerging leader frameworks
* Succession planning, training & development and workforce planning
* Policy development, compliance, performance management frameworks and goal setting
* Cultural transformation and change management initiatives
* HRIS system implementation, optimisation and roll‐out
About You
This opportunity will suit an experienced HR generalist who enjoys autonomy, accountability and working closely with senior leaders. You will ideally bring:
* A tertiary qualification in HR, Business or a related discipline
* Experience as a Senior HR Advisor / Senior People & Culture Business Partner, or an HR Manager early in their leadership career
* Strong hands‐on capability across HR operations, systems and processes
* Sound ER/IR knowledge with confidence managing performance, disciplinary and grievance matters
* The ability to influence, coach and partner with leaders in a practical, commercial manner
* High emotional intelligence, discretion and resilience
Experience within engineering, consulting, EPCM, construction or resources environments will be highly regarded, though not essential.
