You will work with the world's largest computing infrastructure, learning daily operations of a large data center, troubleshooting servers and network equipment, and collaborating with teams like logistics, networking, security, and more.
Data Center Operations designs, installs, and maintains the world's largest computing infrastructure. Our scope includes system repair, issue resolution, part handling, and data‑center maintenance. Amazon data centers are large‑scale high‑density facilities where you will help change the face of technology in the region.
We are looking for candidates to commit to a 12‑month contract, with coaching and periodic assessments to help develop your skills. After the 12‑month period, successful candidates may be invited to interview for full‑time positions. For more info you can visit
Responsibilities
* Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot all hardware and related problems.
* Perform basic level OS troubleshooting.
* Perform basic level configuration troubleshooting.
* Perform replacement of parts and devices.
* Perform storage media (HDD, SSD) sanitization and destruction tasks.
* Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing resolution of trouble tickets efficiently.
* Follow DC operations, logistics, security, and safety processes and guidelines.
* Practice and enforce Amazon's security and safety best practices.
* Provide 24/7 shift coverage, including 12‑hour rotating shifts. This may change based on future business needs.
Qualifications
* Basic knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers) and its configuration.
* Basic IT troubleshooting knowledge.
* Physical ability to lift and rack equipment using lifting equipment.
* Valid driver's license and own vehicle for site travel.
* Diploma at university or TAFE.
* Linux knowledge.
* Networking knowledge.
* Passionate about IT infrastructure and hardware.
