Total Remuneration Package: Remuneration package valued at up to $151,034.00. Base salary ranges from $87,550.00 to $133,846.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information
The Teacher Transition (Itinerant) (TT) is a regional resource based that supports teachers, high school students with disabilities, and their parents/carers, with the transition planning from school to adult life. Based at Tamworth High School, the TTI is expected to support a range of schools across the region. The TTI must have the ability to travel to schools on the allocated caseload.
Specific Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with and assist Learning and Support Teams across schools to develop Individual Transition Plans to meet the needs of students with disabilities across mainstream, support classes and school for specific purposes.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills (oral and written communication), including successful experience in liaising with government and non-government agencies to facilitate students and their families to access supports and services and programs that lead to successful post-school pathways.
* Understanding and implementation of the Disability Standards for Education and Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) and relevant Department of Education policies and procedures to assist each student to fulfill their potential.
* Knowledge of and commitment to the Department of Education Aboriginal education policies.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
