GMP Washroom and Assembler Attendant -Afternoon shift
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position offers a motivated individual the opportunity to manage Wash Bay & assembly operations, with potential for skill development in other areas of our manufacturing facility.
The role involves following documented procedures, completing required paperwork, and ensuring tasks are performed accurately the first time.
You'll also actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes, work practices, and systems.
Success in this role requires the ability to work independently within our fast-paced, collaborative team environment in a Good Manufacturing Practice -compliant production facility.
The position available is for afternoon shift: 2.00pm - 10:20pm.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the Sanitation of Equipment if necessary.
Perform cleaning and sanitation according to validated methods and procedures.
Ensure that all surfaces are cleaned after each cleaning operation.
Ensure that correct cleaning procedures are followed for specific dedicated items.
Reassemble production equipment after cleaning – mechanical parts & componentry.
Rinse and disassemble equipment prior to cleaning.
Disassemble and clean tanks and equipment as per appropriate SOP's.
Follow Material Safety Data Sheets for correct and safe disposal of residue and proper chemical handling.
Safe use of our electric pallet jack (training provided if necessary).
Move cleaned items into drying areas ready for assembly ensuring appropriate status flags attached.
Quality Check and attention to detail required.
Liaise with Formulators, Line Setters, Supervisors and Microbiologist to ensure smooth operation and priorities are observed in equipment cleaning.
Maintain the Wash Room in a clean and tidy condition at all times with no ancillary cleaning utensils or hoses left in disarray (i.e. not hung up or put away after each use).
Brushes to be rinsed and stored.
On a monthly basis citraclean the Wash Room & pressure wash the lower portion of the walls and floor to remove dirt.
Key Skills
High level of mechanical aptitude necessary.
Experience within a production facility, good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) processes.
Experience working in a regulated GMP, Food or Pharmaceutical environment.
Ability to work both alone and with people.
Ability to follow procedures precisely.
Ability to respond to changing priorities.
Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to push/pull equipment around – up to 100 kg.
Supportive team player attitude.
As part of our hiring process, candidates must complete and pass a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment.
This role requires you to be on your feet for most of the day and to push or pull weights of up to 100 kg or more.
Requirements
Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food, Packaging, or other FMCG sectors is desirable.
Experience in the aerosols industry desirable.
Technical Skills: Essential experience with setting up, adjusting for changeovers, and cleaning packaging machinery on a production line.
Licenses: Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
Forklift license advantageous.
Citizenship
PR or NZ/Australian Citizenship required.
