The Financial Institutions and Professions vertical is the largest division of our Specialties Solutions segment, providing insurance and risk advisory services to clients in the financial and professional services industries.
We specialize in complex, high-risk, and regulated companies, delivering industry insights, data and analytics, risk consulting, advice, and insurance solutions to support clients' business goals.
This role requires a senior leader with extensive experience within the Financial Lines Insurance market, focusing on risk identification and risk transfer for FI&P clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical understanding of a broad range of Financial Lines Insurance products and risk solutions.
The selected individual will be responsible for managing internal channel distribution relationships, driving strategic sales initiatives, and overseeing open market placement activities. Additionally, they will contribute to the growth and retention of our FI&P portfolio by identifying and converting new business opportunities, leading tender responses, and proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with senior leaders to manage internal channel distribution relationships and drive strategic sales initiatives
* Identify and convert new business opportunities, lead tender responses, and proposals, and contribute to the growth and retention of our FI&P portfolio
* Oversee open market placement activities, ensuring alignment with go-to-market strategies and compliance with broking standards
* Proactively manage a portfolio of Financial Institutions/Professions clients, including strategic management of client relationships at a senior level
* Deliver a client-centric approach to servicing clients, providing cross-solution line expertise
* Monitor and interpret industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments, sharing insights with internal and external stakeholders
* Participate in key speaking opportunities at industry events to raise awareness of our capabilities in the FI&P space
* Manage P&L and margin performance for assigned portfolios, ensuring alignment with financial goals and strategic targets
* Lead and support operational changes, embedding agile practices and modern tools to enhance efficiency and client outcomes
* Coach and lead a high-performing team, supporting career development, performance management, and succession planning
Requirements:
* Extensive experience within the Financial Lines Insurance market with a focus on risk identification and risk transfer for FI&P clients
* Strong technical understanding of a broad range of Financial Lines Insurance products and risk solutions
* Understanding of client profitability
* Excellent cross-selling abilities
* Keen entrepreneurial spirit and business development
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrated success in managing team and senior-level client relationships
* Qualifications in accordance with the Financial Services Reform Act (minimum Tier 1 Broking Compliance)
