THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION FROM October 2025 TO January 2026
Daily tasks and responsibilities:
Departments include Bakery, Service Deli, Meat, Food Court
(Your tasks may include some or all of the below)
* Packages and wraps baked goods by hand or wrapping machine according to merchandise manual.
* Uses racks or carts to move or stock wrapped product onto tables and pallets. Responsible to maintain date rotation and merchandising presentation throughout the day.
* Assists with other bakery duties as needed.
* Follows SSOP guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.
* Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification and all Safety training required by warehouse and department.
* Moves product filled oven racks. Un-trays product from baking pans onto packaging. Garnishes baked goods according to item requirements; stacks used baking pans on pan dollies.
* Scales finished product and records on weight verification sheets.
* Inspects and reassembles equipment sanitized previous night. Reworks display case and rotates product.
* Takes large trays of styro packaged meat from large wheeled racks and places individual packages into automatic wrapping machine. Follows safety and security procedures.
* Sets labeler according to product type and price, prints and applies labels to product.
* Puts wrapped and labeled meat on large trays of large wheeled cart and stocks in display case by reaching through sliding windows or moving rack to floor.
* Cleans and sanitizes area throughout the day. Performs duties to comply with health code, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
* Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service.
* Slices meats and cheeses for package sale and for use in assembled product using commercial slicer and scale. Slices vegetables for salads, entrees, and garnish on prepared foods. Assembles party trays, meals, pizzas, and salads.
* Skewers and cooks chickens and ribs in commercial rotisserie oven. Inserts up to eight skewers with five 41/2-5 lb chickens into rotisserie rotator slots, presses button to rotate for loading. Packages product, weighs ribs, places in heated display case. Rotates stock and pulls 50-56 lb chicken boxes/65 lb rib boxes.
* Follows Costco formulas and diagrams and monitors finished product to see that department consistency and quality standards are met. Complies with health code, such as sanitation, temperatures, and pull dates. Upholds safety and security procedures.
* Cleans Deli area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, scrubbing, low-pressure washing. Empties drain screens, empties trash. Operates trash compactor and cardboard baler.

* Fresh Food Experience - Experience in a fresh food enviroment (Bakery, Butchers, Deli etc) not essential but highly favourable
Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry-specific skills that candidates should possess):
* Education/Training: High school certificate or higher
* Licenses/Certifications: Food Safety Certificate preferred
