The Salvation Army Eastlakes is committed to seeing lives transformed with the love of Jesus. Café 360 is a community hub where people can gather, connect, and be supported. We're looking for a passionate and organised Café 360 Coordinator to oversee daily operations and help create a safe, friendly environment for all who walk through our doors.

About the role

As the Café 360 Coordinator, you'll take responsibility for the smooth running of day‑to‑day café operations in consultation with the Café Team Leader and Corps Officers. This role blends hands‑on café work, volunteer leadership, and community engagement.

This is a casual role based in Eastlakes, NSW. Salary is in accordance with Hospitality Industry (General) Award Level 3.

How you will make an impact

* Provide warm, responsive, and friendly service to all customers
* Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality
* Manage customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly
* Prepare and serve coffee, tea, sandwiches, baked goods, and other café items
* Process orders and payments
* Maintain attractive signage and displays
* Monitor stock levels and replenish items as needed
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality controls
* Promote safe food handling practices among volunteers
* Oversee and support a team of volunteers
* Train volunteers in café operations including food prep, beverage making, cleaning, customer service, and register use
* Delegate tasks effectively and encourage skill development
* Ensure the café is clean, organised, and ready each morning
* Prepare daily food and beverage offerings
* Check and manage stock deliveries
* Review and plan coffee blends and menu items
* Oversee food purchasing and storage
* Maintain cleanliness of work and dining areas, including equipment sanitisation
* Manage daily takings and EFTPOS reconciliation
* Ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time
* Communicate regularly with Corps Administrators and Church leadership
* Maintain equipment in excellent working condition
* Provide a safe and supportive environment for volunteers

What you will bring

* Experience as a Barista
* Experience supervising or coordinating volunteers
* Safe Food Handling knowledge and experience
* Understanding of Food and Beverages Act requirements
* Strong team leadership and communication skills
* A valid Working with Children Check
