We are seeking a highly skilled Social Health Counsellor to join our team, providing access and coordination to comprehensive support services to clients and their families. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to achieving personal wellbeing as part of a holistic model of care.
Duties
1. Develop and implement effective interventions using techniques and methodologies of proven effectiveness from a sound evidence base.
2. Respond promptly to critical incidents, providing wellbeing first aid to patients.
3. Conduct thorough wellbeing assessments to evaluate risks, identify client needs, and guide treatment delivery plans.
4. Provide group interventions to meet mental health consumer's needs.
5. Maintain high standards of case management and record keeping processes.
6. Facilitate referrals and coordination between different sites or programs to deliver mental health and social needs services.
7. Liaise with community organisations and government agencies to gather information, refer clients, network, and promote services.
8. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor qualification in either Psychology/Social Work/Human Services/Behavioural Science or Counselling, and demonstrate a strong understanding of culturally responsive frameworks and efficacious mental health treatment approaches. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity with an annual salary of $84,080 per annum pro rata, plus 11.5% Super and Not for Profit Salary Packaging. The role requires a National Police Clearance, Working with Children's Card (Blue Card), and Working with Disability Card (Yellow NDIS Card).
Requirements
