About the Role - As a Category Manager for NORMA Pacific, you'll be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that help customers thrive. Under the guidance of our Head of Sales, you'll oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception to commercialization whilst continuing to evolve our existing categories through range extensions, promotional activities and providing the necessary technical support.
Responsibilities
Strategic Category Planning – Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Identify growth opportunities within the category through market analysis and consumer insights.
Product Life Cycle Management – Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from introduction to phase-out, ensuring optimal product mix.
Promotional Activities – Working with all departments to release effective promotions, analysing, and reacting to market and product trends, analysing, and reacting to inventory requirements.
Marketing Collateral – Working with the Marketing Coordinator to produce and maintain brochures, catalogues & tech data sheets. Review and maintain all online information including company websites as well as customers.
Inventory & Demand Planning Support - Collaborate with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
Event Management – Collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator to determine appropriate products for display at trade shows and event-specific product promotions, product samples, merchandising and general stand presentation.
Sales Liaison – Provide product knowledge, sales tools, and training to enhance sales effectiveness.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following: -

o You bring 2+ years of experience in market research, business analysis, or category/product management.
o Proven success in new product/channel development, demonstrated through high-impact projects like launching digital sales platforms or segmenting VIP client services.
o Experienced in leading or collaborating on strategic projects, including benchmarking, product requirement documentation, workshop facilitation, and prototyping .
o Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines, with strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
o Comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
IT Skills:
o Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and strong command of other MS Office tools.
o Experience with CRM systems or data analysis tools such as Microsoft CRM, Dynamics 365, or Deltamaster.
o Education or certification in Project Management would be highly regarded.
o Bonus: Experience in the Water Management industry or exposure to insurance, finance, or investment sectors
