Job Title:
Contract and Commercial Expertise
As a Contract and Commercial Expert, you will provide contract management support across multiple operations. This is a permanent role offered on a 9-day fortnight roster at our corporate office.
This position requires a service-driven team player with a successful track record in contract development and administration. You will manage key contractual relationships and performance outcomes between contractors.
You will identify opportunities for cost reduction and value-adding in all agreements entered into on behalf of our organization and its related entities.
You will lead negotiations and provide input into the development, implementation and management of contracts.
You will develop and ongoing manage key spend categories within an assigned contract portfolio per our category management framework and company policies/procedures.
You will liaise with key stakeholders to review and develop category management strategies.
You will compile agreement documentation, recommendations for award and managing variations; and
You will manage contractor relationships with a view to minimising commercial risk.
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Law or related discipline.
You will also have 3+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining, resources and/or construction industries.
You will have a proven track record in developing and managing a broad range of goods, services and works contracts, including forming sourcing strategies, tendering, adjudication, negotiation, award and ongoing commercial management.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications is highly regarded, as well as SAP Ariba and SAP MM experience.
