About the Role

The Content and Collections Librarian plays a pivotal role in Ipswich Libraries, driving high-performing and accessible library content and collections forward.

Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing Library Management Software and technology, advising on cataloguing, copyright, privacy, and licensing, analysing and reporting on library system efficiency and trends, leading and developing team performance and collaboration, contributing to routine and strategic project initiatives, developing policies and processes for continuous improvement, and maintaining supplier relationships to uphold service levels.

Requirements

">
* Tertiary qualification in a related field and/or demonstrated technical experience in library content and collection operations
">
* Current Queensland C Class Driver's Licence
">
* Substantial experience using one or more types of Library Management Software
">
* Sound level of proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
">
* High attention to detail and a solutions-based mindset with an appetite for solving interesting problems
">
* Belief in values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
