About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join a major Iron Ore project in Western Australia. This role will be critical in supporting the transition of the project from construction into staged commissioning and operational readiness.
Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you will play a key role in driving the safe and efficient progression through the commissioning phases, ensuring systems are tested, proven and handed over to operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute commissioning plans and schedules.Manage the transition from construction completion (Stage 1) through staged commissioning and system energisation (Stages 2-5).Conduct functional and performance testing of electrical systems.Coordinate vendor commissioning activities and interface with construction teams.Prepare commissioning documentation, test packs and reports.Support system handover to operations including training and operational readiness.Ensure all activities comply with site safety systems and regulatory requirements.
About You
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.7-10 years extensive experience commissioning electrical infrastructure on large resource or industrial projects.Strong understanding of staged commissioning from construction through to operational handover.Experience with HV, LV and ELV systems, drives, control systems and plant problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.Ability to coordinate across construction, vendors and operations teams.Excellent communication and documentation skills.
