About the Role
As a Counsellor within the Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Service, you’ll provide trauma-informed crisis intervention, counselling, and case coordination for victims of domestic violence and their non-offending family members. You’ll work collaboratively with health professionals, NSW Police, and community agencies to ensure clients receive the care they need, when they need it.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering crisis assessment and counselling interventions.
2. Participating in Domestic Violence Safety Action Meetings and interagency collaboration.
3. Providing outreach services and hospital in- for a confidential chat.

This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements are outlined in the NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11).
