Job Title: Civil Construction Trade Worker
Job Summary:
The Civil Construction Trade Worker is a key member of our team, responsible for operating and maintaining plant machinery safely and productively. They will lead pipe-laying operations for stormwater, sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains, as well as set up and manage temporary traffic control schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and Maintain Plant Machinery: Safely and productively operate and maintain various types of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, and graders.
* Lead Pipe-Laying Operations: Oversee the installation of stormwater, sanitation sewer, drain, and water main systems, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
* Temporary Traffic Control Schemes: Set up and manage temporary traffic control schemes to ensure safe access to construction sites.
* Supervise Site Personnel: Supervise and manage site personnel, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor and control the quality of work performed by site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring that all work meets our high standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license and a current first aid certificate. They should also be physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.
