We are seeking an experienced and dedicated assistant horse trainer / experienced comeptition groom to join our high performace dressage stable which includes working with young horses through to FEI horses.
This role is suited to a highly skilled equestrian professional with experience in preparation, management and care of performance horses in a competition enviroment.
Key Responsibilites:
Provide daily care and management of international quality dressage horses, including feeding, grooming, rugging, and stable duties
Prepare horses for training sessions, clinics & competitions including tacking, untacking, washing and presentation to the highest quality standard.
Assist in training and development of Young Horses through to FEI competition horses
Exercise and ride horses as required, appropriate to skill level. required
Warm-up / Cool-down of horses.
Monitor health, fitness and well being, report concerns promptly
Manage horses at competitions, including travel preparation, turnout of a high level and care
Maintain a clean, orgnaised and safe enviroment
Assist with general property and stable operations as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum 3+ years experience working in a professional equestrian or dressage stable
Demonstrated experience with competition horses, preferable yup to FEI level
Experience handling and working with Young horses in training
Competent riding ability, with confidence to exercise performance horses
String understanding of horse care, conditioning and stable management
Ability to work in a fast paced, high performace enviroment
High attention to detail and horse welfare standards
Strong work ethic, rideability and ability to work as part of a team
Additional requirements
Willingness to travel and attend competitions as required
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
Physically fit and capable of handling horses
