**The Role**
The Commercial Manager reports to the Commercial Director and will provide leadership and direction on commercial issues across the organisation. They are accountable to perform and achieve complex contract management work within an integrated workforce, exercising sound decision making and judgement to provide expert policy advice. They will plan, lead and manage a range of human and physical resources and exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve concurrent business outcomes.

In response to the Australian Government developing a nationwide naval shipbuilding enterprise the Maritime Sustainment Model has been implemented to realise Plan Galileo; Maritime Sustainment Division's national, long term approach to sustainment of the naval fleet. OPVSPO is seeking a committed and confident leader to undertake the EL1 Commercial Manager position, who will be responsible for leading the Commercial Team. Proficient and experienced in complex contract management, leadership, stakeholder management and communication are required to meet the demands of this position. - Lead and direct complex contract management by creating and maintaining contracts with million-dollar budgets as well as managing critical contractor relationships.
