Head of Science
Melbourne Grammar School is seeking an inspirational educational leader to join us as Head of Science, commencing in 2026, based at our South Yarra campus. This is a permanent, full-time teaching position, with the Head of Science role offered with a 5-year tenure, as a position of responsibility.
The successful candidate will play a key role in setting the strategic direction for the Science Faculty and fostering a culture that sparks curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong passion for discovery. Guided by our commitment to providing students with a holisitc education, you will steer an accomplished team of leading teachers and support them in their own growth and professional practice.

* Leading a collaborative team, bringing fresh ideas and global best practice to ensure the science curriculum remains relevant, challenging, and inspiring for all students.
* Communicating a clear vision, guiding colleagues in designing engaging science pathways from Year 7 to VCE, and promoting initiatives that deepen scientific knowledge and adaptability.
* Overseeing curriculum planning, assessment, and professional development, encouraging teamwork, open dialogue, and continuous improvement within the Faculty.
* Helping build a vibrant, inclusive community through co-curricular activities and active engagement with staff, students, and families.
VIT Registration, or the ability to gain VIT registration, is essential for this position.

The role has a whole school focus. This position is based at our South Yarra campus with regular travel to our Junior School in Caulfield. It's a great place to work.
