Located in Seven Hills, GA Sports operates both an online store and a physical retail outlet, serving everyone from aspiring beginners to elite professionals. They offer value-added services like free oiling, knocking, Extra-tech application, and grips on English willow bats, along with free shipping for orders above $200 and attractive pricing incentives. GA Sports Australia is seeking a highly motivated Retail (Store) Manager to lead the Seven Hills outlet—driving sales, ensuring outstanding customer service, and managing all aspects of store operations. You'll be the face of GA Sports Australia in-store, cultivating strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and your team. You will oversee daily store functions and execute strategies to meet growth and performance targets. Your efforts will be key in delivering a seamless retail experience that aligns with GA Sports Australia’s trusted, high-quality brand reputation. Qualifications & Experience Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should ideally have: · AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree in a relevant field · At least one year of experience in a similar retail management role · Proven expertise in driving sales, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: · Lead and motivate store team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. · Manage store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reconciliation. · Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently upheld across the store. · Monitor inventory levels—and liaise with suppliers to replenish stock. · Provide exceptional customer service, including product demonstrations (e.g., bat fitting, equipment advice). · Deliver added-value services (e.g., free knocking or oiling of bats) in line with company offerings. · Recruit, train, and develop store staff—ensuring product knowledge and service standards. · Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to the team. · Implement promotional campaigns and in-store marketing initiatives. · Address customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner. · Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, safety, and security at all times. · Prepare and submit daily/weekly/weekly-reports on sales, staff performance, and operational metrics. · Manage payroll and staff rosters to maintain optimal coverage and labour cost efficiency. · Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company policies. · Foster strong relationships with suppliers and merchandise partners for new product launches or restocks. Skills and Attributes: · Sales-focused mindset, adept at identifying opportunities and upselling. · Strong leadership & team-building skills, with the ability to inspire high performance. · Customer-centric approach, delivering tailored advice and fostering loyalty. · Operational excellence, with fluency in POS systems and inventory management. · Solid organizational skills, adept at multitasking under pressure. · Passion for sports equipment and industry knowledge, particularly cricket gear. · Communication & negotiation skills, both with staff and external partners. · Proficiency in retail KPIs such as conversion rates, average transaction value, and stock turnover. · Adaptability and initiative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
