Long Term Planner | Asset Strategy | S&OP Leadership Location: Tomago, NSW | Hybrid Work Available Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for long-term planning and asset management? Bis Industries is searching for a Long Term Planner to lead medium- to long-term maintenance and capital planning. This role isn’t just about scheduling—it’s about driving business strategy, ensuring asset availability, and optimising maintenance supply chains to deliver real impact. How You Will Make an Impact: You will lead the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process, forecasting maintenance, capital requirements, and resource needs over a 3-month to 3-year horizon. By collaborating with key stakeholders, you will ensure seamless alignment between operational execution, asset strategy, and commercial priorities. Key Capabilities for Success:
Strategic Planning – Lead S&OP processes and long-term maintenance planning.
Asset Management – Forecast capital needs and manage asset lifecycle planning.
Data-Driven Decision-Making – Use planning tools to model scenarios and build forward plans.
Collaboration & Influence – Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams.
Process Optimisation – Improve planning tools and drive efficiency across maintenance supply chains. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead the annual and quarterly S&OP planning process to align strategy with execution. Develop and manage capital planning and forecasting for long-term asset needs. Create and implement an external workshop supplier strategy for maintenance efficiency. Partner with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to optimise inventory and parts availability. Track performance against plans, identify risks and opportunities, and drive improvements. What You’ll Bring: Extensive experience in planning within a capital-intensive industry (preferably mining). Expertise in asset management, whole-of-life costing, and maintenance strategy integration. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence key decisions. High-level computer literacy, with experience using planning tools and forecasting models.
