Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to support the execution of our Group Corporate Affairs strategy, working closely with the Head of External Communications and other teams across the business.
* Draft media releases, campaign materials and responses to media enquiries, ensuring alignment with our brand values and reputation management strategies.
* Support day-to-day coordination with media monitors, photographers, videographers and external PR agencies, providing exceptional customer service and meeting deadlines.
* Assist with brand PR activity and marketing compliance across our beverage portfolio, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends.
* Coordinate the non-alcoholic beverages' Sales and Marketing Compliance Committee process and ensure collateral meets regulatory and community standards, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Support responsible drinking programs and contribute to Global Responsible Drinking Goals, promoting a positive company culture and social responsibility.
* Assist with preparation of briefing notes, backgrounders and policy material to support State and Federal Government engagement, demonstrating expertise in corporate affairs and public policy.
* Provide general coordination and administrative support across the Corporate Affairs function to ensure smooth delivery of key projects, leveraging technology and innovation to improve efficiency.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* 2–4 years of experience in journalism, media, public policy, government, PR, communications or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, accurate content, adapting to different audiences and formats.
* Understanding of current affairs and the Australian media and political landscape, staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends.
* Ability to apply regulatory, reputational and compliance considerations in a corporate environment, making informed decisions that balance business needs with social responsibility.
* Proactive, curious and able to move comfortably between fast-paced media work and detailed compliance reviews, leveraging creative problem-solving skills to drive results.
* Collaborative mindset with sound judgement to engage across multiple stakeholders, building strong relationships and influencing outcomes.
