Healthcare Professional Opportunity
This role involves delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, focusing on improving maternal and child health outcomes.
The midwife will work in a collaborative environment to provide culturally appropriate antenatal and postnatal care, as well as specialist child health services to the Goldfields region.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality antenatal and postnatal care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander women
* Working in partnership with other maternity providers to ensure timely and culturally appropriate care
* Conducting scheduled child health screening and implementing immunisation programs
Essential qualifications include a Bachelor of Nursing and/or Midwifery, high-level oral and written communication skills, and an understanding of Primary Health Care principles.
Demonstrated experience in community-based antenatal and postnatal care, as well as experience using electronic patient information systems, is highly desirable.
