Role Description
This is a full‑time, remote, commission‑based role located in Melbourne, VIC for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and engage potential clients in education, aged care, healthcare, events, and enterprises.
- Pitch Exaptec solutions : telepresence robots, STEM robots for schools, service robots for hospitality and aged care, event hire packages.
- Run demos (onsite or virtual) and coordinate with technical support.
- Manage sales pipeline and close high‑value deals.
- Explore strategic partnerships with distributors, councils, and industry associations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hardware, robotics, or technology sales.
- Ability to sell solutions + service contracts, not just hardware.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable with commission‑only structure.
- Robust presentation skills for demos and events.
- Existing contacts in schools, aged care, or events highly desirable.
