About the role:
The General Manager Projects and Partnerships is responsible for the strategic leadership, oversight, and delivery of all major projects across City Mission, with a focus on the establishment and growth of Mission 2 Home, City Mission's Tier 3 Community Housing Provider.
This role will lead major residential development projects and programs, respond to landmark government funding initiatives, and forge partnerships that unlock long‑term housing solutions for communities across Northern Tasmania. The role will bring both strategic foresight and commercial acumen to the community housing sector. The role will drive innovation, secure funding, and foster partnerships to deliver impactful, sustainable solutions for vulnerable communities across Northern Tasmania.
Essential Qualifications / Experience
* Senior leadership experience (10+ years) in commercial, residential or mixed‑use property development, ideally within the community housing or not‑for‑profit sector.
* Proven success in project development and delivery, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Understanding of social and affordable housing systems and funding models.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships at senior levels.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience advising executives and boards on complex strategic and commercial issues.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
* Experience or demonstrated capacity to work in an organisation adopting a Christian ethos.
* Experience working with project governance structures.
This is a full‑time position. As a Public Benevolent Institution, LCM employees are eligible to salary package through our approved provider. A car and phone allowance will be provided, recognising the state‑wide travel requirements of this role.
