About the Role
As Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing grocery & fresh departments, with a strong focus on produce performance. You will be responsible for produce ordering, managing wastage and shrinkage, maintaining quality standards and ensuring the department is presented to a high standard at all times. Alongside fresh oversight, you will support the Store Manager with daily operations, team leadership, rostering and driving store performance. This is a hands on role suited to someone who understands high volume stock movement and tight margin control.
Skills and Experience
* Leadership experience from supermarket, petrol and convenience, or hospitality such as restaurant or cafe
* Strong understanding of produce ordering, wastage and shrinkage control
* Ability to manage teams and drive performance
* Commercial mindset with strong stock control knowledge
* High standards around quality, presentation and customer service
