We're partnering with a well-known Australian organisation undergoing a major strategic data initiative.
They are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with a strong background across data and analytics projects. This is a techno-functional role suited to someone who can confidently work between business and technology teams, helping drive clarity across complex data environments and work with various cross functional stakeholder groups to ensure alignment on solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Capture, analyse and document business, reporting and data requirements
* Conduct current and future state analysis across reporting processes and data flows
* Translate business needs into clear functional and analytics requirements
* Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and SMEs
* Gather, refine and prioritise requirements across multiple business streams
* Develop user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications
* Support business process improvement and optimisation initiativesWork with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs and success measures
* Assist with backlog management, sprint planning and delivery coordination
* Develop key project artefacts including process maps, data definitions and reporting documentation
* Support data mapping, reporting uplift and transformation initiatives
* Work closely with delivery teams across Data Engineering, BI and Analytics
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst on data projects
* Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
* Experience working across enterprise reporting, analytics or data transformation environments
* Strong understanding of data flows, reporting structures and business processes
* Ability to translate non-technical requirements into structured functional outcomes
* Experience with Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence
