About the Role
The Global Supply Chain (GSC) team is recruiting an experienced HSE Manager for a permanent position based in Ingleburn, NSW.
This site is our Sydney Distribution Centre, a globally recognized SMART Logistic platform covering 17,500 m2 of storage and equipped with advanced materials handling solutions and a new fleet of equipment.
The HSE Manager will provide functional leadership for HSE risk management, system implementation, performance monitoring and compliance.
Reporting directly to the DC Manager, the role also serves as the key contact for Schneider Electric's Integrated Facilities Management provider and Security Coordinator for the Ingleburn Site, with dotted-line reporting to the HSE and Sustainability Director, Pacific Zone.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and monitor an ongoing and dynamic approach to HSE that meets internal and external requirements.
Lead the response to HSE risks, incidents and opportunities.
Deploy global and local initiatives to enhance physical safety.
Lead the analysis and reporting of performance and insights.
Lead HSE compliance and assurance programs, and respond to external audits and regulator engagements.
Deliver innovative solutions that contribute to sustainability objectives such as energy efficiency and circularity.
Support the implementation of health, wellbeing and injury management programs.
About You
We are looking for a professional with a minimum of 6 years' experience in an industrial warehousing environment as an HSE subject-matter expert or Manager, who has proven ability to manage technical risk associated with forklifts, pallet storage, racking and heavy vehicles.
Key Skills and Experience
ICAM Investigation certification and Cert IV Health and Safety are essential.
Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability, or a related discipline, highly regarded.
Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups and strong commercial acumen.
Demonstrated regulatory and standards compliance.
A growth mindset with well-developed digital skills and technical aptitude.
Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to promote Schneider Electric's commitment to safety and sustainability.
