Internal Sales & Design Team Member

Full Time | Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm
Vic Stainless Sales is a proudly Australian-owned business with two locations in regional Victoria. We supply a comprehensive range of stainless steel products and deliver a variety of services, including laser cutting, waterjet cutting, guillotining, folding, and custom fabrication. Our customers span multiple industries across Victoria, from trades and manufacturers to retail clients.
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales & Design Team Member to join our Ballarat team. This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll be managing sales enquiries, preparing quotes, and assisting with design and programming for cutting projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Responding promptly to customer enquiries via phone and email
* Preparing and following up on quotes, processing orders, and coordinating production
* Liaising with manufacturing, warehouse, and external suppliers to ensure smooth job flow
* Assisting with estimating and programming for Laser and Waterjet jobs (full training provided)
* Supporting customers with basic design and project layout requirements
* Producing simple CAD drawings for manufacturing (CAD experience preferred but not essential)

Key Requirements
* Previous sales or customer service experience in an industrial or trade environment (desirable)
* Good phone manner and clear communication skills
* Organised with the ability to multitask effectively
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
* Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
* Good problem-solving skills
* CAD/design experience preferred but not essential — we will provide training for the right candidate
* Australian work rights are required for this position
