Mental Health Intensive Care Unit - Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospital
What you'll be doing
Reception
* Maintain and manage a busy reception area in alignment with the CORE Values of the organisation.
* Direct incoming phone calls and relay accurate messages to other members of staff, ensuring urgent messages are relayed to case managers and/or intake on a timely basis.
* Exercise a polite, friendly and professional manner while attending to telephone and face to face enquiries.
Medical Records
* Register all consumers on eMR and maintain the databases to reflect admissions, reviews, updates, and discharges of consumer files and the creation of physical files.
* Create and maintain medical records and medical record area.
* Undertake the data entry of Group Appointments in eMR Scheduling.
Administrative
* Maintain EMR Scheduling and Doctor appointments and provide administrative support where necessary.
* Assist with accurate and timely filing of records, invoices, accounts, clinical documents etc.
Operational
* Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to all patient, staff, workplace and LHD matters.
* Participate in the rotation of staff between sites and within the service as required and consistent with maintaining continuity of care for consumers.
* Provide administrative support to various projects as requested by the Office Manager.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
* High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail with particular focus on integrity and efficiency.
* Proven ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, word processing (40 words/minute), and experience or willingness to learn new information systems including: eMR, WINc, Healthroster.
