About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistive Technology Trainer to deliver high-quality, person-centred technology services to our clients.
In this role, you'll assess individual needs, recommend suitable assistive technology, provide hands-on training, and work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to support personalised goals.
You will also stay at the forefront of emerging assistive technology, contribute to continuous service improvement, and play an important role in shaping how technology enhances the lives of people who are blind or vision impaired.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert advice, demonstrations, and training on assistive technology, including electronic magnifiers, hardware, software, and mainstream programs.
Conduct functional assessments and contribute to Client Support Plans that promote choice, control, and independence.
Deliver technical support and work closely with the retail team on stock, sales, and customer enquiries.
Maintain accurate client records and produce high-quality reports to support funding applications.
Liaise with technology providers to stay informed on emerging tools and innovations.
Present and promote See Differently's technology services to clients, community groups, and partner organisations.
Uphold strong clinical governance, safety, and compliance standards at all times.
About You
You are a people-focused, tech-savvy professional who is passionate about accessibility and improving client outcomes.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and are confident delivering training to individuals and groups.
Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
Strong communication, client engagement, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent organisation, planning, and prioritisation skills in order to meet KPI's.
Strong customer service focus and commitment to quality.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and database systems).
DHS screenings (Working with Children, NDIS/willing to obtain) and a current driver's licence.
Note: Our offices close for Christmas from the 22nd December **** until the 5th January ****.
