Job Description
The District Medical Director of Mental Health will provide clinical leadership and oversee policies and guidelines for inpatient and ambulatory-based mental health services.
The role involves developing strategies to minimize clinical risk, collaborating on strategic plans, and working with stakeholders to implement Models of Care. Medical workforce planning, research, and negotiation with various stakeholders are also essential responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical Leadership: Provide leadership and oversight of policies and guidelines for mental health services.
* Risk Management: Develop strategies to minimize clinical risk and ensure patient safety.
* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans for mental health services.
* Model Implementation: Work with stakeholders to implement Models of Care for mental health services.
* Workforce Planning: Undertake medical workforce planning and development to ensure adequate staffing levels.
* Research Support: Develop and support research initiatives to improve mental health services.
* Negotiation: Negotiate with various stakeholders to achieve goals and objectives.
