Community Engagement Opportunities
Liverpool City Council is facilitating a diverse range of events to engage the local community. These events celebrate cultural identities, promote citizenship, and foster connections within the city.
We are seeking volunteers who can assist with event promotion and civic engagement. Volunteers will be part of an Expression of Interest (EOI) list, which invites them to join opportunities that match their availability and interests.
Event promoters value meeting new people and ensuring everyone's involvement. This role allows individuals to participate in important city activities and get to know their local community.
Role Responsibilities:
* Distribute promotional materials for Liverpool City Council events and inform residents about initiatives.
* Assist with public programs preparation, setup, and packing away.
* Support public programs under close supervision.
* Provide general information and wayfinding assistance to attendees at events.
* Conduct basic surveys, crowd counts, and record engagement.
* The time commitment is less than 15 hours per week.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Effective communication skills and ability to relate to others in the community.
* Volunteers who speak other community languages are encouraged to apply.
