We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team at our state-of-the-art recycling facility.
About the role:
- Operate and maintain fixed and mobile plant equipment, including tyre shredders and forklifts.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as greasing, blade changes, and inspections.
- Assess and prioritize breakdown service requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and upkeep of equipment maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Planner and Team Leaders on strategy development and execution.
- Assist production processes to ensure trade-released product meets quality specifications.
- Maintain Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement in onsite processes.
Key qualifications and skills:
- Mechanical Technician or Fitter & Turner qualification
- Experience in a similar position with relevant tickets
- MIG & ARC welding and fabrication experience
- Skilled operator of skid steer loaders
- EWP licence and experience
- Ability to interpret technical documents (engineering drawings, operation manuals)
- Solid understanding of mechanical processes
- Current High Risk Work Licence (preference for WP, DG, LF)
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
