We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HC Truck driver to join our team at a local steel distributor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering steel products to various locations in a safe and efficient manner.
This is Monday to Friday work with a minimum 38 hours - OT available $40 per hour, including casual loading.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining a HC Truck in a safe and compliant manner
- Performing vehicle inpections before and after trips, ensuring roadworthiness of assets
- Loading and unloading steel products
- Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers
- Adhering to all road transport regulations and company policies
- Maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid HC Truck license
- A valid Forklift licence will be highly beneficial
- Proven experience in driving heavy vehicles, preferably with a background in steel distribution
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
