Senior Mental Health Clinician Opportunity
Shape the future of crisis care in Queensland. A new Crisis Support Space is launching as part of a state-wide initiative to transform how we respond to mental distress and suicidal ideation.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of mental health reform, supporting individuals in crisis while collaborating across emergency and community services.
* Provide clinical oversight and risk management within the Crisis Support Space.
* Support and mentor Peer Workers and non-clinical staff.
* Deliver basic mental health triage and ensure appropriate referrals for clinical care.
* Collaborate closely with the Emergency Department, Acute Care Team, and other services to ensure continuity of care.
* Foster strong relationships with service providers to enhance referral pathways and treatment access.
* Maintain a therapeutic environment that upholds the dignity and well-being of consumers and carers.
* Lead quality improvement and research initiatives to evaluate and evolve the service.
Key Requirements:
* A four-year Psychology degree (Honours or Graduate Diploma) and registration with AHPRA.
* Highly regarded postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology (Masters or Doctorate), or significant progress toward completion.
