Veterinarians in this role will consult on urgent cases, perform emergency procedures, and care for hospitalised patients, all with the support of a strong team of nurses, interns, residents, and specialists in surgery, imaging, internal medicine, and ophthalmology.
Vets will be equipped to handle most situations, with access to on-call specialists and other support when required.
Opportunities exist for the right candidates to rotate through specialist departments for 4–12 weeks a year, developing deeper skills in imaging, medicine, or surgery. Those who prefer to focus solely on urgent care consulting are equally welcome.
Three permanent positions are available with rosters that span a full seven-day service, including overnight and weekend shifts. Financial incentives, overnight loadings, and a salary of AUD$ $100,000 – $200,000 (depending on experience) make this both a professionally and financially attractive opportunity. Further training and career development (CPD) are fully supported and encouraged, the close working relationship with the various specialists expedites this.
Support doesn't stop at the clinic doors. Visa sponsorship is available, plus board registration and all other professional registration fees. Flexible hours and other working arrangements are also discussable.
