The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Leisure and Lifestyle CSE to join our team in Millmerran. As a Leisure and Lifestyle CSE, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of leisure and recreational activities for our residents, including games, crafts, exercise programs, and outings.
About You
McLean Care are looking for experienced individuals that are caring and empathetic & looking to contribute to their communities. You will provide personalised care to all residents, including those with dementia and challenging behaviours, with a focus on meeting their individual needs and preferences.
Essential:
o Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with elderly individuals, utilizing appropriate communication strategies to meet their unique needs and preferences.
o Understanding of WHS principles - including identification & mitigation of venue specific risks
o Current unencumbered Drivers Licence.
o Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and ability to use relevant software programs effectively.
o 2 Recent Managerial Referees
o Police Clearance – we run one for you for free!
Advantage:
o Previous experience working with the elderly
o Certificate III in Individual Support
o Experience leading a small team
o Demonstrated ability to design and execute engaging activity programs
o Availability to work flexible hours
o Demonstrate creativity and proficiency in crafts and arts
o Current First Aid/ CPR certification or in process of obtaining
