Work type: Full Time (Permanent) 38 hours per week
Schedule: Ability to participate in a 24/7 roster. Various shifts between Monday to Sunday and Public Holidays, as required.

About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our passionate team. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Routine receipting and processing of specimens, including operation and maintenance of analyzers
* Pre- and post-analytical specimen handling
* Identification and prioritization of urgent specimens
* Filing and storage of specimens and data entry
* Assisting Scientists in the Laboratory as required
* Continuous learning of processing requirements for different sample types
* Staying up-to-date with processing updates
* Responding to results, sample requirements, and general queries
* Identifying and resolving problems at the pre-analytic stage
About you
To be considered, you should have:
* Specimen processing and data entry experience
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
* Understanding of the importance of following procedures accurately
* Willingness to adhere to policies and procedures
* Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology (desirable but not essential)
* Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection (desirable)
