The Role
You will be responsible for utilizing your pastoral expertise to support the emotional and spiritual needs of clients, their families, and staff. This role requires strong communication skills, compassion, and empathy to enhance the wellbeing of those in need.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide pastoral care and support to residents, relevant families and staff* Be the point of contact for internal and external support/referral services* Act as a role model for staff and advocate for our organization's mission and values* Share pastoral expertise and coach staff to support the spiritual needs of residents* Conduct assessments of resident/family needs and goals on entry to the service using the HOPE assessment tool* Develop a spiritual care plan, working with residential staff to ensure client/family spiritual needs and goals are acknowledged* Participate in case management reviews and contribute to the development and ongoing evaluation of a care plan* Lead regular carer support groups* Network with other religious leaders and services and coordinate relevant care, resources and group activities* Strategically develop tailored resources, ideas and activities to enhance the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of residents and families, collaborating with management, staff and volunteers
